Winter Schedule

Daylight is growing shorter. We are getting ready to change the clocks. Evenings can get very brisk. So what does all that mean? Pretty quickly we will be going to our winter ride schedule.

Typically this means we will limit our meetings to once or twice a month. Most often they will be via the cages and should be within the OKC city limits.

Don't let this discourage you from coming out. There is a GREAT group of people that make up the dinner ride group.

Over the winter we will be discussing additional rides for next spring/summer/fall. So we look forward to all and to see what the winter could bring.

August 2nd....

Well on August 2nd the Tuesday night dinner ride group will become....the Saturday Mt. Scott, all day, riding group. (LOL)

From what I have understood. We will be leaving out of Complete Cycles at 9 am on Saturday the 2nd of August. We will be riding back roads to Mt. Scott and the state park. We will eat lunch at The Riverside Cafe in Medicine Park. Then head back home VIA I-44. (So bring your pike pass or some cash for tolls.)

As I figure it will take us about an hour and a half to two hours to get to MT. Scott and Medicine Park. The return trip should take about an hour to an hour fifteen. (Depending on the speed of your bike.)

So if you plan on going. Get your bike in this week to the shop for a quick once over. Check your tires, oil, and etc...

July 8, 2008

The night air was humid and the roar of motorcycles could be heard all around. There was 16 motorcycles and some 30 people. Their simple goal as Bandanna Red's in Choctaw. The question was could they make it by 7:30? The fearless ride leader mounts his stead and with the roar of his engine they are off!

OK so maybe we aren't the next great drama on TBN. But, we still have a lot of fun! We had several first time riders and their families in cages. Jeff, the leader of this rag tag group, lead us down some back roads to Anderson, north to 29th and over to the restaurant.

Food was moderate, not somewhere to take out of town family to impress. But still very good after a long day working for a crabby boss. (<---Did I just type that? DOPE!) Anyway here are some pics and we will be posting what we have in store for next weeks ride. You can also check out the Complete Calendar by going to the Complete Cycles link and clicking on the Calendar link in the lower left corner. Don't forget to mark out for August 2nd. We will be going to Mt. Scott and eating at the RiverSide Cafe in Medicine Park. Details to follow.... Julies Pics

July 1 2008 (Per Julie Goodwin)

Well the ride this week took us to the Steak and Catfish Barn off of I-35 and Waterloo Rd. Twenty one bikes with 30 people were in attendance. Our fearless ride leader, Jeff, started a new card game that will reveal the winner at the end of four weeks. The winner is to receive a free dinner, compliments of Jim Anderson's Complete Cycles. Other than this the ride was nice and laid back and uneventful!

So keep in tune and look at the pictures from the link below. Next weeks ride will be to Bandana Red's in Choctaw. SO come hungry with a tank of gas!

A week late...June 24, 2008

Well I do apologize for being a week late and skipping the previous week altogether. But, at Complete Cycles we had just finished one poker run and were preparing for the second in as many weeks. Excuses aside. Here is how the week of June 24th ride went...

Jeff, our fearless ride leader, had a marvelous idea of the Harrah steak house. His route took us out 23rd street to Harrah. Very uneventful, yet laid back route. SOOOO prior to our leaving he called and let them know of the numbers they were to expect. (Jeff more than accomplished his task of ride leader this week!) So off all 26 riders and 21 bikes! Upon our arrival we enjoyed a lot of banter between the tables. As this was one of the most diverse groups yet. (With 4 sport bikes, one dual sport, one Triumph wanabe, and the remainder cruisers.)

Dinner was fairly uneventful, for those who got food. See that is where the major problem here in lied. There was a handful of persons that did NOT get their  food. It seems that in the confusion of all 26 of us, and 10 regulars. Somehow a few people simply got lost.

There was a handful of first time riders: Brad and Shelly Orchard. (Pronounced oSHard. :poke:), Kelly Smith, Jay Allen, Scott Brown, Jason Billen, Troy Durbin, Steve and Lynn Brackee, and Ken Green. So a big welcome and hope you come back! So ONE to what everyone wants....PICTURES....
